Rods Tour of Wales
Well I’m at it again. This year I have decided to fundraise for both the Midlands and Wales Air Ambulance as they both cover our regions. Neither get help from the government or lottery money, I feel that they are charities that need our help badly.
This year I will be cycling 250 miles over 3 days from North to South Wales starting on the 3rd sept and finishing on the 5th sept. I will be riding 90 miles on the first 2 days and finally 70 miles on the last day. After chatting to some cycling professionals I have been advised to split the ride down.
Aberegele to Dolgellau – travelling across the famous Snowdonia Mountains (this is the easy bit)
Machynlleth to St David’s – travelling along the coast roads (no time for site seeing!)
Carmarthen to Abergavenny – travelling over the Brecon Beacons and my final challenge the famous Tumble – as featured on the stage 3 of the Tour of Britain (Believe it or not I’m actually looking forward to that??!!)
Any support is welcome either cheering from the side of roads or if you can spare any amount my donation link is below
