At 1085m, (3565 feet), Snowdon is the highest peak in Wales (and England). Surrounded by myths and legends and the supposed resting place of King Arthur. Experience one of the most amazing views, at one of the most iconic times of the year.

Snowdon HorseshoeAs soon as you catch sight of the Snowdon there can be no doubt about its status as the highest peak in Wales. Majestic and refined, the impressive proportions of its pyramidal lines are instantly recognisable. Often described as having 5 ridges and 5 cwms in a star like symmetry, this description is apt – but only tells half the story.

The ridges have numerous spurs and crags, while the corries are twisted and multi-levelled. The Snowdon horseshoe covers an area greater than that of the Glyders, and almost the size of the entire Carneddau range.Snowdon’s crags and ridges are intertwined with the history of Welsh mountaineering. From the early days of climbing on Y Lliwedd’s north face to the modern routes on Clogwyn Du’r Arddu, and from the highway like Llanberis Path to the secretive scramble of the Clogwyn y Person Arete, it is a mountain that provides adventure for all who step onto it. But one route above all others tops every wish list – and that’s the Snowdon Horseshoe.

Have you done any scrambling? Want to go just that little bit further? This is the walk for you. Take on the mighty Crib Goch and the Snowdon Horseshoe. Probably the finest ridge walk that the UK has to offer. Please only come if you are not afraid of heights and exposure, this is not for the feint hearted. Crib Goch is a knife edged ridge with long drops to either side.

Guide ratio of 1 to 6.

Some say that this is one of the finest ridge walks that the UK has to offer.

Join us for a day that you will not forget in a hurry.

The exposure, the height, the wind and most of the time the rain.

This is an epic grade 1 scramble that is technically quite easy, it just the exposure that gets to most people.

We will start from Pen Y Pass till we get to the bottom of the east ridge of Crib Goch (a grade 1 scramble in itself). Then we traverse the famous ridge. Once complete we head on over Garnedd Ugain and Crib-y-Ddysgl (2nd highest mountain in Wales) where to, we will have to scramble up the ridge.

Then its off up to Snowdon.

This is not for the feint hearted. The exposure and height have caught many people out. It is often mistaken for Snowdon itself as it is the peak that is visible from Pen y Pass car park.

Take on this classic under the safety and experience of the Mountain Leaders.

Voted Britains favourite mountain, they say its impossible to reach the summit without using your hands.

Join us on this guided walk up the North Ridge, a grade 1 scramble. Stand on the famous Canon Stone.

On reaching the summit do you fancy jumping from Adam to Eve to gain the freedom of Tryfan.

A simple step across (if it was on the ground). 😉

At 914m, Tryfan is the smallest of the Welsh 3000s, but it more than makes up for it in spectacular views and all round adventure.Take on this favourite under the safe hands of out mountain leaders.

Do you like hill walking, and feel like you want to step up to some grade 1 scrambling? Have you always fancied taking on Tryfan, but never really had the confidence to go it alone. Then this is the ideal opportunity for you.

If time allows we can also do the Bochlwyd Horseshoe, 1 of the finest days grade 1 scrambling the UK has to offer. After Tryfan, we can do Bristly Ridge onto Glyder Fach, to see the Cantilever Stone (an ideal photo stop)

We will then descend down y Gribin Ridge back down to Llyn Bochlwyd. (this does all depend on time, Tryfan North Ridge can take a bit)

Put this date in your diary, we have limited places. Guide ratio 1 to 6.

We will meet at Ogwen Cottage at 8.30am.
