Three performers from Nepal ask questions about life, love, poverty and greed. Using spoken word, movement, circus and ceremony, they tell the story of how against all odds they survived their childhood and created their own destiny. An inspiring, authentic, raw and heart warming performance about life and circus, entertainment and reflection.
Alongside the performances of As A Tiger In A Jungle, the performers will be running a free workshop for young people aged 12-25, where you get involved and try your hand at some impressive circus skills! The workshop will take place on the stage at Theatr Brycheiniog on the 9th June 11am, where an aerial rig has been set up for the performance. The two hour session will include a warm up, some games, and a chance for you to try out aerial hoop acrobatics and acrobalence.
Numbers are limited so book early to avoid disappointment!

Portstock 2019
Portstock is a family friendly music festival held at Rodney Parade, Newport supporting and raising vital funds for St David’s Hospice Care. It gives you the chance to enjoy the music, support an amazing local charity as well as helping to support local traders whilst having a great day out with the family.
Portstock’s first event was last year in 2018, after the success of that day we are back again with another music filled one day festival. With a diverse range of local food traders, stalls and workshops this is one not to be missed for your family and friends. The Big Cwtch is a magical award winning family festival set in a stunning lakeside location in the heart of Carmarthenshire.

Now in its sixth year the festival has grown from a one day charity event to welcoming over 3,000 visitors throughout the weekend. The Trust will teach your little ones how to identify different leaves, and everyone can have a turn at making a lantern out of leaves and recycled jam jars that can be decorated with spooky bats. The workshops will be held between 12-4pm each day in The Red Dragon Centre main concourse area so don’t miss out and come and join us!
