Rose's Garden

Rose’s Garden at Regency Hall

Rose’s Garden is another brand-new script from director Allison which focuses on Rose, an elderly lady who reluctantly admits she can’t cope on her own and moves into Cedar View Care Home. Here you’ll meet a whole host of characters including the delightfully eccentric Beattie and her dour sister, Maud. There’s Enid, mischievous Bert with his side-kick Arnie, and hopeless snob Charles whose only hope is that the new arrival will bring some much-needed class to the residence!

Of course, as in all good stories, things aren’t always as they seem and you’ll soon realise that our central character has a secret buried in her past, but we also find that carers Tom and Emma too are hiding something. This really is a heart-warming tale about a clandestine past, a lost love and how true friendship can change your life.

As with every Footlights show, music and dance help to tell the story and Rose’s Garden is peppered throughout with wonderful songs from the West End and Broadway including Chicago, Waitress, Shrek, Les Mis, and many, many more, all brought to life by musical director Clive Raymond and a fabulous live band.

Rose’s Garden opens at the Regency Hall in Saundersfoot on May 27th and runs until June 1st. Tickets are £10 each and can be purchased directly from The Regency Hall or from Little & Large in Saundersfoot, Ocky White Travel in Haverfordwest and online at www.saundersfootamdram.co.uk

DUSTY and the Shades of the 60sDUSTY and the Shades of the 60s

‘Dusty and The Shades of the 60s’ is a captivating musical show that celebrates the life and music of one of the most important, successful and elegant British female singers of all time – Dusty Springfield.

The legendary Dusty, as famous for her soulful voice as her distinctive style which launched a million teenage lookalikes, produced hit after hit and at one time had six top 20 singles in the US charts and 16 on the UK charts – a world record that remains unchallenged to this day.

The dynamic singer and actress Emily Clark stars in the show as Dusty and together with The Shades – three outstanding vocalists in their own right – takes the audience back in time to relive the Swinging Sixties.

The production whisks you stylishly through a decade of Dusty’s unstoppable catalogue of smash hits including ‘I Only Want To Be With You’, ‘You Don’t Have to Say You Love Me’, ‘Son of a Preacher Man’, ‘I Just Don’t Know What to do With Myself’ and ‘You Don’t Own Me’.

The show also features some of the decade’s most popular songs by songwriters such as Burt Bacharach, Carole King and Lennon/McCartney.
Celebrate the 60s in style, relive the memories and enjoy an unforgettable evening with Dusty and The Shades of the 60s.
