Chepstow Walking Festival 24th – 28th April 2019chepstow walking festival

Join this popular walking festival now in its 7th year exploring the rich heritage and beauty of the Lower Wye Valley and beyond. A packed programme of 35 guided walks led by experienced walk leaders some who are specialists in the their field such as Dr Mark Lewis Senior Curator at the Roman Legion Museum Caerleon, Rob Dingle Trail Officer for Offa’s Dyke Path, David Morgan, Chair of Long Distance Walkers Association who has devised the Monmouthshire Way, a long distance circular trail starting/finishing at Chepstow and Gavin Jones, Community Engagement Officer for the Living Levels Landscape Partnership scheme who will be joining two brand new walks along the levels to reconnect people and communities to their landscape and provide a sustainable future for this historic and vibrant place.

Some of the walks visit establishments which are rarely or never open to the public such Allt-y-bela home to the 2000 Best in Show Garden at Chelsea and the farm where the award winning Brookes ice cream is made.

Whether you are a seasoned walker or just enjoy a short walk with the dog there should be something to suit.

Chepstow Walking Festival Tickets cost £5 single or £15 for a Supersaver which gives the opportunity to join as many walks as you wish. Under 16’s are fee as is the Walk for Health.

FOCUS Wales is back and will take place over 16th-18th May 2019!

FOCUS Wales is an international multi-venue showcase festival taking place in Wrexham, North Wales, which places the music industry spotlight firmly on the emerging talent that Wales has to offer the world, alongside a selection of the best new acts from across the globe. FOCUS Wales 2019 will mark the festival’s 9th edition, and will welcome over 10,000 people to the town, building upon 2018′s record attendance across a jam-packed weekend of events. There’s no place like Wrexham during FOCUS Wales, as we showcase 200+ bands, fill out a variety of spaces and music venues, using 20 stages, and hosting a full schedule of Interactive Industry Sessions, Stand-up Comedy, Arts events, and Film screenings, throughout the festival.

This pop-trio was founded in Pajala Sweden and has crafted their own blend of electro-pop and riot grrrl punk. Their debut album ”Ugly Youth” was released in 2017. Their single ”Young & Wild” premiered on prime time TV and became the 10 most played Swedish song on Swedish radio. The Magnettes have been praised by sites and tastemakers like Earmilk Perez Hilton Popcrush, Drowned in sound and 405. Their high energy live show has taken them all over the world even to the worlds largest festival Summerfest opening up for Ke$ha.

But this May you will get the Chance to see The Magnettes Live at Focus Wales 2019 along with a multitude of other great artists and bands. Focus Wales is back in wrexham for yet another amazing festival

So it’s 2019 and its back again, the Inside Out Festival 2019 will be taking over Bute park in Cardiff, but this time not in September the usual slot for the last few years. This time they are hoping the weather will be with them and it will take place over the Friday 31st of May and Saturday 1st June 2019. With some of the biggest names on the music scene and loads more announcements to come (which we will update going forward). Now is the time to bag those early tickets with sale prices on some until the 28th Feb and others a little longer (also subject to sales).

Saturday 22nd June sees a brand new Food Festival in Corwen (organized by the same team as both of the very successful Beaumaris & Menai Food Festivals)
The Corwen food Festival, which will be held on the recreation field in the beautiful town of Corwen , North East Wales, promises to be a great day out for the whole family and will have up to a hundred stalls, including produce from local , National and International food and drink manufacturers.

There will be a dedicated craft marquee and plenty of street food stalls dotted around the festival site , with offerings such as wood fired pizzas, pies, burgers,sweet waffles and churros to satisfy your appetite!
There will be some great live music on stage throughout the day and fun things planned to keep little ones entertained!
