The exciting lineup for this concert means it’s going to be one not to be missed. We will be welcoming both bands, choirs and more. Helping to raise vital funds for St David’s Hospice Care at the Moriah Baptist Church in Risca, Newport.

Portstock 2019
Portstock is a family friendly music festival held at Rodney Parade, Newport supporting and raising vital funds for St David’s Hospice Care. It gives you the chance to enjoy the music, support an amazing local charity as well as helping to support local traders whilst having a great day out with the family.
Portstock’s first event was last year in 2018, after the success of that day we are back again with another music filled one day festival. With a diverse range of local food traders, stalls and workshops this is one not to be missed for your family and friends. With the great music line up that will feature throughout the day on the main stage it will be a day to remember for all.

St David’s Hospice Care are once again delighted to bring you an unforgettable day of great food and fantastic music at Rock on the Rooftop 2019.

Held on the Rooftop Terrace of the Celtic Manor – 5 Star Luxury Hotel Resort, it will be a unique experience and one you won’t forget in a hurry!
Join us from 2.00pm on Sunday 21st July where you will be greeted with delicious canapes and a drink on arrival. Admire the infinite green vistas of South Wales from the rooftop garden before sitting down to a lavish BBQ. Enjoy your meal ‘Al Fresco’ then soak up the atmosphere and get dancing as you are entertained by a host of fantastic musicians performing hits from a whole range of genres. The Lion Speaks Tonight at The Riverfront
Brace yourself for what is going to be a unique and unforgettable evening at the theatre! For the first time rugby legend Scott Quinnell will share some of the most extraordinary stories and facts about his life both on and off the rugby pitch and how he has become one of the most recognised and respected Welsh figures. From growing up with Giants of the game to learning to read and write after his retirement and becoming a star of Television and Radio! Scott bares all with his hilarious tales, never seen before footage and colourful pictures of his colourful life. Which will leaving you ROARING in your seats!
Joining Scott on stage is his son “Steele” who whilst looking down at Dad (literally!) and maybe giving his side of some of the stories, will be performing some of the greatest songs from Musical Theatre!
You will have the opportunity to ask those questions you always wanted to ask! and there will be limited VIP tickets which will include priority seating, ‘Meet & Greet’ prior to or following the show; with signings, photographs and a general ‘chit chat’ with the lads! and of course your personalised souvenir programme.

This is the 3rd year LIONFEST has been running, it started off as a Facebook streaming event, and this year it will be live at the Pill Harriers Sports Club, Newport. The Door Opens at 6.00pm – Ends at 12.00am.
