One Great Day at Cardiff Bay
With temperatures rising, the Red Dragon Centre invites families and children to join them on 22 June for One Great Day at Cardiff Bay.
With Toy Story 4 hitting the screens at the Red Dragon Centre on 21 June, there will be a chance to say hello to lookalikes of the famous Toy Story characters, who’ll be there as a tribute to the originals.
Next to meeting the special visitors, children can enjoy a number of free activities between 12 and 4pm. From face painting and colouring, to taking a selfie with our giant grass rhino in the Green Zone, this is bound to be One Great Day for the family.
Throughout the day the Red Dragon Centre will raise vital funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (GOSH) and other local children’s charities, including Welsh charity Tŷ Hafan.
Kick-start the day with some adrenalin, by supporting the live rowing challenge of the Simply Gym team, who aim to row an incredible 130 miles: the exact distance from The Red Dragon Centre to Great Ormond Street Hospital!

Unicorn Day
This year, we are celebrating 10 years of our Unicorn Service and we want you to celebrate with us! Unicorn Day is a chance for you to have fun whilst raising money to help us provide a very important service of ours.
Get together in your class, with your church, with your colleagues, with your family or whoever you have most fun with and get creative with Unicorn day, helping us celebrate in the most magical way!
Bake a unicorn cake, paint your face, and throw a unicorn party or whatever colourful unicorn idea you can think of! There’s no limits this unicorn day!
What is the Unicorn Service?
For the last 10 years, the Unicorn Service has been developed to help support children and young people deal with the life-threatening diagnosis or loss of a loved one, helping them understand and cope in such a difficult time.

Coeliac UK’s Gluten Free Food Show
Our Gluten Free Food Show in Cardiff is the only one of it’s kind in Wales.
Come and join us for your chance to sample and buy a whole range of gluten free delights, from national and local producers, and see what new products are available
We’ll have inspirational cooking demos, 1-2-1 dietetics clinics, specialist talks and workshops and our popular panel debate, chaired by Dr Dai Lloyd. And what’s more, charity supporter and MasterChef Champion Jane Devonshire will be there to demo a tasty recipe from her book Hassle Free Gluten Free. You’ll even be able to buy your own copy and have it signed by Jane on the day.
Tickets are free and everyone is welcome. We look forward to seeing you there!
