Emergency First Aid at Work Forestry Sector + FEmergency First Aid at Work Forestry Sector

A One-day Extended Emergency First Aid at Work + F course. It has been designed by subject experts to meet the extended training requirements set by the Forestry Commission for operatives working on their land. It also fulfils the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 for Emergency Workplace First Aiders where needed.

Topics covered

The qualification covers knowledge such as the roles and responsibilities of the emergency first aider, how to assess an incident. The qualification also covers first aid skills in CPR and use of an AED and providing first aid to a casualty who is choking, suffering with hypovolemic shock, catastrophic bleeding, Hypothermia and Drowning.

Assessment method

This training is assessed by a practical demonstration, oral questioning and completing a multi-choice question paper.

Certification 

A QNUK L3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work + F (RQF) certificate will be issued to candidates successfully completing this training and that is valid for 3-years. Under the current guidelines it is ”strongly recommended” that first aid trained staff attend a half-day update every 12 months – before completing their full re-qualification training at the three year point.
