Apr 20 – Apr 24 all-day

Chepstow Walking Festival and Offa’s Twisted Wye Kanterchepstow walking festival

After a 2-year break Chepstow Spring Walking Festival is back! It’s a special year for the town as Chepstow is celebrating their 10th anniversary as an accredited Walkers are Welcome Town which is a national network of volunteers who work towards providing the best walking experience for the local community and visitors.

The jam-packed programme of guided walks also celebrates the 10th anniversary of the Wales Coast Path with walks incorporating the Trail but with a twist such as finishing with a walk over the Newport Transport Bridge or visiting Wye Valley Meadery. The festival has mix of well-loved favourites and newly devised routes in areas that are not so well known from Paleonotology to a walk with Gwent Wildlife Trust. You can learn more about the countryside we live and enjoy the company of like minded people.

If you are new to country walking as a pastime, like many have over the past 2 years but unsure where to go, or need an incentive to get your boots on, then this is the answer to get you started with experienced friendly walk leaders who are passionate about what they do.

A tour poster for Zoe Lyons Bald Ambition tour

Zoe Lyons: Bald Ambition Monmouth

Zoe Lyons has kept herself busy in the last couple of years by having what can best be described as a monumental midlife crisis. It involved buying a sports car, having a brief marital separation and running a 100k ultra marathon which really didn’t end well. Along the way her hair decided the best thing to do was abandon ship. It ain’t easy being a middle aged woman: try doing it with a combover. Thankfully Zoe has been able to explore the funny side of all these twists and turns. It’s time to sell the silly car and try and put the wheels back on her life.

“A hugely enjoyable mix of brutal put downs and richly funny stories, Lyons has what it takes to delight any crowd”  Guardian

“Zoe Lyons really cuts the mustard”  Scotsman

“Confident and razor sharp”  Observer
