Moonlight Walk 1

Want a chance to climb Pen y Fan to see the Sun setting and the Moon rising? This is your chance and support St David’s Hospice Care at the same time.

We have organised the Moonlight Walk again with a slight name change from our previous moon walk event. Some of the key details of the event are below but you can find full details on the St Davids Hospice Care website which is linked in the details above for tickets and website link.

• The walk starts at Pont ar daf car park (Grid Ref 988199, Postcode LD3 8NL), on the A470 between Brecon & Merthyr Tydfil.
• The distance is 6km (3.7 miles) and takes roughly 2.5 hour on average.
• Registration from 7.00pm.
• Begin ascent of Pen y Fan between 7.30pm and 8.30pm.
• The walk includes the option of climbing to the summit of Corn Du on the ascending trip.
• Families welcome; under 16’s must be accompanied by a responsible adult, and parental consent must be given.
• “Moonlight Walk” certificate issued at the end of the walk.
• Refreshments available.
• Entry fee £15 per person; £5 for under 16’s.
• Please note: Participants are also asked to give a further donation, or to gain sponsorship to support the vital work of St David’s Hospice Care in the community.

On the evening we will be joined by the Bagpiper in South Wales – John Campbell. This creates a wonderful atmosphere, so we are very lucky to have John with us again.

Bowel Cancer UK – Sunrise Trek Challenge

IoD Cymru Wales and ACCA Cymru Wales are delighted to invite you to their Annual North Wales Christmas lunch.

Held at the beautiful Quay Hotel and Spa in Deganwy, the Christmas lunch is open to both IoD / ACCA members and non-members and welcomes Brigadier Graeme Fraser MBE ADC Royal Marines, Naval Regional Commander for Wales and Western England as their guest speaker.

The festive lunch will begin with a drinks reception, giving guests the chance to entertain clients and network with like-minded individuals, followed by a welcome speech by IoD Wales National Director, Robert Lloyd Griffiths OBE. Guests will then enjoy a delicious Christmas lunch with light entertainment and a closing speech from Head of ACCA Cymru Wales, Lloyd Powell

The Lion Speaks Tonight at Theatr Brycheiniog

Brace yourself for what is going to be a unique and unforgettable evening at the theatre! For the first time rugby legend Scott Quinnell will share some of the most extraordinary stories and facts about his life both on and off the rugby pitch and how he has become one of the most recognised and respected Welsh figures. From growing up with Giants of the game to learning to read and write after his retirement and becoming a star of Television and Radio! Scott bares all with his hilarious tales, never seen before footage and colourful pictures of his colourful life. Which will leaving you ROARING in your seats!

Joining Scott on stage is his son “Steele” who whilst looking down at Dad (literally!) and maybe giving his side of some of the stories, will be performing some of the greatest songs from Musical Theatre!

You will have the opportunity to ask those questions you always wanted to ask! and there will be limited VIP tickets which will include priority seating, ‘Meet & Greet’ prior to or following the show; with signings, photographs and a general ‘chit chat’ with the lads! and of course your personalised souvenir programme.

• The Talgarth Pen-y-Fan View 10K takes place in the town of Talgarth and benefits from great views of the surrounding area including the Black Mountains and the iconic Pen-y-Fan.
• The course is on wide pedestrian/cycle paths (traffic free) and is an out-and-back route.
• Open to all abilities.

Deganwy Prom Day 2023

Deganwy Prom Day 2023 is a community fun day for all the family hosted on the splendid Deganwy Promenade and green. There will be stalls, refreshments, games and lots of entertainment, including a Fun Dog Show, dancing displays, the Sea cadets, music and a fun sports day. Free admission – starts at 11am until 4pm.
