The Big Cwtch is a magical award winning family festival set in a stunning lakeside location in the heart of Carmarthenshire.

A small festival with a big heart – “it’s all in the name The Big Cwtch is intimate, beautifully curated, friendly and just like a big hug from someone you really love”  

Now in its sixth year the festival has grown from a one day charity event to welcoming over 3,000 visitors throughout the weekend. The 2019 line up is bigger than ever with over 30 breakthrough and emerging Welsh artists performing on the spectacular lakeside stage and acoustic venues across the festival site hosted alongside award winning welsh street food and a jam packed programme of family activities and outdoor adventures.

Festival features include kids walled garden with activities and fun and games for all ages, music, art and circus workshops, laser tag, bushcraft, craft fields, paddle boarding, wellbeing sanctuary with wood fired hot tubs, therapies, yoga, pilates, mindfulness and dance classes, talks, tastings and demonstrations, street food alley, lakeside feasts, quirky bars and a stunning riverside camping and glamping fields.

Held at the beautiful Quay Hotel and Spa in Deganwy, the Christmas lunch is open to both IoD / ACCA members and non-members and welcomes Brigadier Graeme Fraser MBE ADC Royal Marines, Naval Regional Commander for Wales and Western England as their guest speaker.

The festive lunch will begin with a drinks reception, giving guests the chance to entertain clients and network with like-minded individuals, followed by a welcome speech by IoD Wales National Director, Robert Lloyd Griffiths OBE. The seminar takes place at the Celtic Manor Twenty Ten Clubhouse, Coldra Woods, Newport NP18 1HQ.  Exit off the M4 at J24, at the roundabout take the B4237 exit towards Newport. You will see a large Celtic Manor sign after 100 metres on your right, use the designated lane to turn right and proceed up the hill.You will drive across an overpass (crossing over the M4), go left at the fork, continue up the hill and you will see signs for The Celtic Manor Golf Club and Golf Academy. Follow the signs taking you through the golf course, turn right and follow the road around, turn right and then immediately left where you will see an underpass. Go through the underpass then continue to follow the road ahead for approximately half a mile until you reach the Twenty Ten Clubhouse. Parking is available free of charge.
